Alloy properties of 5000 series aluminum sheets
The 5000 aluminum sheet series is a commonly used alloy aluminum sheet series. The main element is magnesium, and the magnesium content is between 3-5%. Also known as an aluminum-magnesium alloy. Its main features are low density, high tensile strength, and high elongation. The weight of aluminum-magnesium alloys in the same area is lower than other series, so it is often used in aviation, such as aircraft fuel tanks. It is also widely used in conventional industries. The processing technology is continuous casting and rolling, which belongs to the series of hot-rolled aluminum sheets so that it can be deep-processed by oxidation.

5 series aluminum sheet features:

Comparison of 5083 and 5754 aluminum sheets
Of all the non-heat-treatable alloys, grade 5083 alloys are the strongest, although not as strong or as hard as the more common grade 6082 alloys. Grade 5083 alloys are primarily available in sheet form, most commonly in the o temper.
Grade 5754 alloys are medium strength alloys. In comparison, it is not as strong as 6082 or 5083, but 5754 is worse than 5251. Grade 5754 is most commonly used in the prodsuction of aluminum 5 bars treadsheet (often referred to as aluminum chequer sheet). Typically, an aluminum chequer sheet is made of 5754-grade aluminum in h114 condition – semi-hard.
