3003-h14 vs 5052-h32

3003 H14 Aluminum Sheet is alloyed with 1.2% maganese to provide a tensile strength range of 17 to 30 KSI. 3003 has Excellen workability, weldability, and corrosion resistance.

5052 aluminum sheet is often referred to as “Anodize Quality Aluminum”, as it has excellent finishing qualities and anodized coatings are bright and clear. The major alloying element in 5052 is magnesium in sufficient quantities to cause substantial lowering of the melting point without prodsucing brittleness. When magnesium is used as the major alloying element, or in combination with manganese, the result is a moderate to high strength non-heat treatable aluminum alloy. 5052 is far stronger than the 1100 or 3000 series aluminums, yet forms with reasonable bend radii. Weldability is very good and 5052 has good resistance to corrosion, especially in salt-water / marine atmospheres.

the 5052 aluminum alloy is used to make beverage closure without internal pressure. The raw material is 5052 H19 aluminum sheet, the material is first oxidized to improve the coating adhesion and corrosion resistance. After the two sides are painted, the can lid is formed. So 5052 aluminum is another material for processing closures. 5052 aluminum sheet has good oxidation coloring effect, excellent metal texture and hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance, long service life, and is widely used in high-end mobile phone casings, high-end air-conditioning casings and other fields with high requirements for oxidation and metal texture.
