1. Prodsuct Introdsuction


6061 aluminum barss are widely used in various industrial structures requiring high strength and corrosion resistance, such as trucks, towers, ships, trams, railway vehicles, furniture and so on.


2.Chemical Composition


The specific chemical composition of the 6061 aluminum bars is as follows.

Copper Cu: 0.15 ~ 0.4

Manganese Mn: 0.15

Magnesium Mg: 0.8 ~ 1.2

Zinc Zn: 0.25

Chromium Cr: 0.04 to 0.35

Titanium Ti: 0.15

Silicon Si: 0.4 to 0.8

Iron Fe: 0.7

Aluminum Al: allowance


3.Mechanical Properties


Tensile strength B (MPa): greater than 180

Yield strength sigma 0.2 (MPa): greater than 110

Elongation: delta 5 (%): > 14

Note: longitudinal mechanical properties of aluminum rodss at room temperature


1) Rapid annealing: heating temperature 350-410 with the effective thickness of the material, the holding time is between 30-120 min; air or water cooling.

2) High temperature annealing: heating temperature 350-500, finished prodsuct thickness & ge; 6 mm, holding time 10-30 min, < 6 mm, heat penetration until; air cold.

3) low temperature annealing: heating temperature of 150~250 degrees; holding time of 2 ~ 3H; air or water cooling.
